Then the shape: file with the 220 grit side for normal, thin or fragile nails, the 180 side for stronger ones. Finish with the buffer: 180 smooths the nail plate, 100 clears stuck cuticle residue. On both tools the logo marks the softer side. Remove all dust and you're ready for prep.
