Prep first: cleanse, push back your cuticles, shape and buff. Degrease with cleaner on a lint-free wipe, then apply a thin layer of prepper to the nail plate, avoiding the skin. Push the product into the nail surface and let it air dry for a few seconds before your base coat.

What does the prepper do?

Can I skip the prepper?
You can, but if your manicures lift early, this is almost always the missing step. For oily nail types it's non-negotiable: grease is what gel polish struggles with most, and the prepper is what deals with it.
My nails look whitish after the prepper. Is that normal?
Yes, completely. The slightly whitish look means the nail plate is degreased and ready: exactly what your base wants to land on. Continue with step 02 as normal.
Does the prepper go under the lamp?
No. The prepper air dries in seconds, no lamp needed. Apply it, give it a moment, and move straight on to your base.
What's the difference between the prepper and the cleaner?
The cleaner cleanses: grease, dust and residue off the surface. The prepper primes: it prepares the nail plate so the base bonds stronger. First clean, then prime, then base: they're teammates, not substitutes.
