It runs slightly thicker than the peel-off base, so it fills ridges and evens out the surface as it cures, a smooth start for your colour. And the formula is friction-resistant, which makes it the base for toenails too.
This is step 02, the layer between prep and colour.

application
Prep first: cleanse, push back your cuticles, shape and buff. Degrease with cleaner on a lint-free wipe, then apply a thin layer of soak-off base, seal the free edge, and cure for 30 seconds under the miure lamp. Leave the sticky layer, that's what your colour holds on to. Continue with two coats of colour and top coat.
Tip: a thin layer of peel-off base underneath shortens the removal. Hands only.
When it's time: wash your hands, then file off the shiny top layer and the colour with the 180 side of the nail file, down to your natural nail colour, leaving the base on. Soak one lint-free wipe per nail in remover, hold it in place with the removal clips, wait ten minutes, then push off the softened gel polish. Any residue: buff it away gently with the 180 side of the buffer and dust off.
Note: keep bottles tightly closed and away from sunlight and UV light. Gel polish cures under UV: left open or in daylight, it hardens in the bottle. Glass does not stop it.

Commitment. The soak-off base bonds for maximum hold and 14+ days of wear, and comes off with remover and ten minutes of patience. The peel-off base holds up to 12 days and comes off in one clean peel. Same colours on top, different exit.
Why do I leave the sticky layer on after curing the base?
Because that's what your colour holds on to. The sticky surface is the bond between base and colour: wipe it away and the colour has nothing to bond with. Leave it, apply your colour straight over it, and everything locks together.
Can I use the soak-off base coat on toenails?
Yes, it's the base for feet. The formula is friction-resistant, made to handle shoes, socks and everything else toenails go through. The peel-off base is for hands only.

Yes. It runs slightly thicker than the peel-off base, so it fills ridges and evens out the surface as it cures. Your colour starts on a smooth nail plate instead of tracing every ridge.
How do I remove the soak-off base coat?
Wash your hands, then file off the shiny top layer and the colour with the 180 side of the nail file, until you see your natural nail colour again with the base still on. Let one remover-soaked wipe per nail sit under the removal clips for about ten minutes. The softened gel polish pushes off gently with the cuticle pusher: no forcing, ever. Finish any residue with a light pass of the 180 side of the buffer.
Is this a rubber base?
Yes. Rubber base means a flexible formula that runs slightly thicker, fills ridges and moves with the nail instead of cracking on it. That is exactly what this base does. What it does not do is build: no apex, no extensions, no infills. One thin layer, free edge sealed, colour straight on top.
